Biography of Joseph  
Joseph Ghossoub was born in Beirut in a modest family. In his youth, he lived between Lebanon and Ghana. After finishing school, he started his business by opening a night club called “Low One” in Reyfoun in 1974. In 1976, he opened a restaurant in Kaslik.

During this period, he met Daad Rahme and the rest was history. They got married in 1977 and moved to KSA in 1980 seeking better future. In 1983, he moved back to Lebanon and he started his second career in advertising. Two years later in 1985, the situation in Lebanon was deteriorating and he left for Dubai. In 1994, he started Team Advertising. In 1997, he became affiliate with Young and Rubicam. In 2000, he placed all the companies under the umbrella of The Holding Group, THG, of which he is CEO. The interview with Ricardo Karam took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Joseph Ghossoub is Chief Executive Officer of The Holding Group (THG), parent company of Team/Young & Rubicam, Intermarkets Advertising, ASDA’A Public Relations, Polaris Public Relations, mediaedge:cia and Wunderman.

One of the Middle East communications industry’s most prominent spokespersons, he has been involved in managing regional and global agencies for over two decades.
After successfully managing multinational client portfolios, Joseph joined Team Advertising as Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer.

In 1997, he served as CEO ever since. Joseph was elected president of the IAA UAE Chapter and he played a major role in winning the bid to host the 40th IAA World Congress in Dubai in 2006.

Joseph also presided over the Lebanese Business Council and remains an advisory council member of the American University in Dubai. He has participated in the establishment of the Emirati-Lebanese Friendship Association.
