Aisha al-Gaddafi is the daughter of Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi. She is a lawyer by profession. In July 2004 she joined the legal defense team of Saddam Hussein. She married a cousin of her father in 2006. The charity group Wa Attassimou that came out in defense of Muntadhar al-Zaidi over the shoe-hurling incident is also led by Aisha.
